Commentary From The Cedar Lounge Revolution

11th February 2019

Many thanks to the person who forwarded this to the Archive.

Have had this in the Archive for a number of years and thought it sensible to post it up, albeit it is not a party political or political document as such. Labour History News as the publication of the Irish Labour History Society offers an important insight into the self-reflective aspects of Labour more broadly.

The document includes in 24 pages news from the ILHS as well as articles on subjects as diverse as Captain Jack White in Donegal, a photographic record of the Irish Citizens Army, Brid Smith writing on Cissy Cahalan and a tribute to Mattie O’Neill. A speech by Eleanor Marx on a visit to Derry in 1891 is also reprinted.

Notable too are the advertisements for the National College of Industrial Relations and FÁS.
