About

The International Socialist Tendency is a trotskyist international, with which the Socialist Workers’ Party in Ireland (and their UK namesake) are associated. It emerged, as did the UK SWP, when supporters of Tony Cliff were expelled from The Club in the early 1950s, and thus from the Fourth International.

It has limited formal structures, and has affiliates throughout the world, though remains strongest in the UK.
